Ferg's at the Trop - In St Pete!

My Father and I Enjoying a Game Day Beer!

Not to long ago, my father and I enjoyed a great day watching the Tampa Bay Rays, starting with the legendary Ferg's. If you desire a mixture of the quintessential indoor-outdoor Florida restaurant and a legendary sports bar, look no farther than Ferg‘s in Saint Petersburg. Situated adjacent to the renowned Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays, you can’t beat this location for some hearty sports bar food.

Conveniently located on 1320 Central Avenue, Ferg’s covers nearly two city blocks. Cold beer, pool tables, indoor air conditioning rooms for those very hot days, and plenty of ceiling fans if you choose to sit outside in one of many shaded areas. But most would rather not sit indoors anyway in Florida – if you don’t have to.

For a fun-filled quick getaway during a mild winter days, you’ll love for Ferg’s for lunch and a few drinks with live music. During baseball season this place is rocks. The closer you get to game time, the harder it is to get in. Opening Day of Baseball Season has seen crowds of 17,000 people with nearly 30,000 during the World Series. But don’t let that discourage you. Normally, there will still be a place to hang out and drink a cold one before, during or after a game. The great news is - there are plenty of venues within Ferg’s to meet up with friends or just find your own corner to hang out and meet new folks, even on the busiest of days.

Dad - a Huge Rays Fan!

Ferg’s boasts over 90 screens for viewing, with live music on-stage most Friday’s. There is easy access to the "Trop" via a tunnel under 1st Avenue South that leads directly to the stadium property. With upper decks, daiquiri shack, a special dog friendly menu, you can’t beat Fergs if you are looking for a small adventure. Ferg’s could hold several thousand people on Game Day, so if you like crowds – you know when to go. Otherwise – hit a weekday when the Rays are away.

Salads, wraps, wings, nachos and flatbreads are some of the great items on the reasonably priced menu. You can enjoy different specials everyday, with game day specials often featured. And there is always lots of craft beers, to enjoy with Ferg's numerous signature burgers.

Baseball season or not, you cant go wrong spending a few hours at Ferg’s!
